About CJVA

Central Jersey Volleyball Academy started in 2004 with 1 national and 2 regional teams. Over the past 9 years, we’ve grown to over 16 girls teams with national teams that typically finish within the top 5 in the region. We also offer an active youth development program for both boys and girls between 7 and 15 years of age, started a boys program 3 years ago, and run a host of leagues, camps, clinics, and open gyms year round.

CJVA operates its own 15,000 square foot facility, RACsports, located in the heart of Hunterdon County.  With 35 foot clear span ceilings, our state of the art facility houses three regulation size courts with 14 feet off end lines for jump serving, supported by a SportsCourt orthopedic subfloor, training equipment including our popular Acu-Spike, plenty of room for seating, and a private office for team meetings or video screening.

CJVA is part of USA Volleyball (USAV), Junior Volleyball Association (JVA), Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), and the Garden Empire Volleyball Association (GEVA).

The goals of our club are to:

  1. Continue as one of the most successful clubs in New Jersey while growing towards becoming a national contender in all age groups.
  2. Provide recruitment opportunities that will allow players to compete at the national level and to continue successful academic and playing careers at the collegiate level.
  3. Provide an environment that fosters growth in each player – as athletes, as students, and as individuals.

CJVA Mission Statement:

CJVA believes that every child should be offered the opportunity to develop skills that will enable them to excel and compete successfully at the interscholastic, regional and/or national level.

We are a community-based non-profit organization committed to training and developing student athletes through competitive participation in the sport of volleyball. Our athletes should expect to be CJVA ambassadors and represent the club both on and off the court.

We strive to provide a solid foundation of fundamental and technical skills to help participants develop, not only as athletes, but also as individuals. Teaching positive lifelong character traits including sportsmanship, leadership, and cooperation are important to the success of our teams.

We are committed to providing the best possible environment for our volleyball players to reach their maximum playing potential through excellence in coaching and community support. Our players will be challenged to excel not only for their own personal growth but also for the betterment of their team, the organization, their communities, and the development of CJVA club coaches.
